    That's looking absolutely lovely. I want to steal it. :D I'm curious - is there a reason you opted for a regular cross stitch instead of a long-armed cross stitch?

    I'd never done either stich before and when I started filling in the background I used long-armed cross stich...and then my brain melted!

    I just couldn't think my way through how to stitch the pattern, consistently, while working around all those tendrils. (Trust me, it looked really bad.) I just cut out my original work and tried again with plain cross stitch which still hurts my brain sometimes, but not as much!

    I'd like to make another try at long-arm cross stitch with a simpler design--maybe chains or something...
