    Yay! I'm working on an underbust dress as well, and like you I was captivated by the portrait of the Dogessa. I don't think I'm quite as old as the Dogessa, but I'm a mom to teens, so I'd rather avoid the "mutton dressed as lamb" phenomenon. Huzzah for older noble ladies, showing off their stuff!

    Your project looks like it's coming along well. I like your embroidery!
